The Greater Houston Partnership and the Houston Arts Alliance are pleased to collaborate on an exciting new Signature luncheon event, State of Arts & Economy on Friday, October 20, 2017. Houston's vibrant arts community is an essential element of our region's quality of life which helps attract business talent to the region. We also know that the arts, as an industry, have a significant economic impact. In Houston alone, the arts generate more than $1 billion in total economic activity and supports nearly 30,000 jobs.
The State of Arts & Economy gives a brief analysis of the recently released Arts & Economic Prosperity impact report on Houston by the Americans for the Arts and a "fireside chat" focusing on Houston's perspective on the arts and its connection to our economy.
Lastly, don't forget to come early and take in some of Houston's most promising local talent on display at the Artist Networking Cafe.
